Archie Lowe Snider

Archie Lowe Snider, 79, of Will Snider Road, in the Churchland Community, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday from the Pine Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Draper and Elder David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Snider Family Cemetery. Archie Lowe was born in Davidson County, NC on October 18, 1928 to the late Robert Snider and Sarah Jane Williams Snider. He was a Dairy Farmer for 30 years and he attended Pine Primitive Baptist Church, where he was currently serving on the cemetery committee, which he had done for several years. He was a former member of the Churchland Lions Club and the Churchland Fire Department and was a former 4-H leader. Archie Lowe enjoyed crafting furniture as a hobby, especially making furniture for his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were three sisters, Ruby Snider, Docia Garner, and Ultra Badgett, two brothers, R.G. Snider, and Marvin Snider. Archie Lowe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eloise Davis Snider of the home, three sons, Danny Snider and his wife, Kathy ,Bobby Snider and his wife, Pam, Dale Snider and his wife, Tammy all of the Churchland Community. Also surviving are two sisters, Sylvia Snider and Doris King of the Churchland Community, grandchildren, Phillip Snider and his wife, Kelly, Kelly James and her husband, Chris, Cristy Myers and her husband, Alex, Candis Rogers and her husband, Benji, Drew Snider, and Heather Snider, great grandchildren, Skye, Ethan, Will, and Stella Snider, Braden and Lanie James, and Ashton Myers, a brother in law, Gurney Badgett, sisters in law, Idalia Snider, and Jean Carter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the church and other times will be at the residence.
