Annie Leonard Weaver

Annie Elizabeth Leonard Weaver, 74, a resident of Lamb Road, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, in the Hospice Home of High Point. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with the Pastor Howard Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery. Annie Lee was born in Davie County, NC on May 4, 1934 to the late Marvin Thomas Leonard and Viola Sparks Leonard. She was a retired employee of PPG and was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the LoveJoy Sunday School Class, Circle 1, WELCA and THRIVENT. She was very involved in the West Davidson Senior Moments Group and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Grady Weaver, and a granddaughter, Melinda Kaye Weaver. Annie Lee is survived by three sons, Ronnie Weaver and his wife, Debbie, of Tyro; Cregg Weaver and his wife, Donna of Fayetteville; Jeff Weaver of Tyro; a daughter, Susan Meyer and her husband, Tom of Bangkok, Thailand; two brothers, Thomas Leonard and his wife, Toni, Max Leonard and his wife, Myra all of Lexington; sisters, Peggy Kepley and her husband, Donald, Betty Weaver and her husband, Bobby all of Lexington; Shelby Orrell and her husband, Jim of Linwood . Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brandon Weaver, Deanna Walser and her husband, Wesley, Scott Weaver, Amanda Gallagher and her husband, Brady, Kody Weaver, Katie Weaver, Mary Elizabeth Meyer, and Joseph Meyer, four great grandchildren, Gavin Weaver, Garrett Gallagher, Luke Gallagher, Mackenzie Walser. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Piedmont Triad Chapter, 1401-B Old Mill Circle, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
