Annie Moorefield

Mrs. Annie Lee Moorefield Robertson, 76, of West Gate Drive, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, August 16 from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Darryl Worley officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Mrs. Robertson was born March 23, 1933 in Forsyth County to James Oliver Moorefield and Annie Hazel Reid Moorefield. She was former owner and operator of Welcome Cleaners and was of the Baptist faith. Her husband, William Ray Robertson, preceded her in death, as well as her brothers, Ronald Moorefield, and Billy Moorefield; and three grandchildren, Billy and Bobby Joe Darnell, and Charles Banks Game. She is survived by her son, Bill Robertson of Lexington; her daughters, Debbie Darnell of Lexington, Kathy Everhart and husband, Steve of Myrtle Beach, SC, Annie Boone, and husband, Kenneth, of Tyro, and Jill Bowman, and husband, Roland, of Jamestown; her daughter in law. Dee Robertson; her brothers, Jerry Moorefield and wife, Gail, Roger Moorefield, and wife, Kay, and Lynn Moorefield and wife, Kathy, all of Lexington; her sisters, Frances Swicegood and husband, Buddy, of Lexington, and Brenda Berrier of Archdale; her grandchildren, B.J. Robertson, Jordan Robertson, Joey Darnell, Tammy Locklear, Wayne Rogers, Will Bowman, Roland Bowman and Kim Game; 9 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hinkle Hospice House for their love and care.
