Annie Belle Link Carter, our loving mother went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loved ones until God took her home on Sunday, January 25,2015 at her home. Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Billy Louya officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home and all other times at their respective homes. Mrs. Carter was born in Davidson County on May 21, 1925 to the late Circero Edward Link and Minnie Lou Leonard Link. She worked at Dacotah Cotton Mills and was a life long caretaker for her mother,brothers and sisters and a wonderful mother to her five children. She was preceded in death by her daughter,Becky Allison,brothers, Boyd Odell Link, Willie L. Link and Franklin E. Link “Bus”, sisters, Gertha Viola Spry and Ruby Savannah Peck, other siblings, Carl Link,Charles Link, Webb Link, Robert Link, Roy Link, Mae Berrier and Louella Hailey. Surviving are her son, Lawrence Robert “Bobby” Carter and wife Diane, daughters, Patsy Hill and husband Dennis, Vickie Kinney, Jamie Thore and husband Steve and son in law, David Samuel “Sammy” Allison,Jr. all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren,25 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. A very special thank you to Hospice of Davidson County, everyone was loving and compassionate. They were there at any time day or night, with such a quick response and with such care.
