Annie Byerly Buie

Annie Byerly Buie, 76 of Rudolph St, Goldsboro, and formerly of Lexington, died Thursday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital after declining health. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Randy Foster. Burial will follow in the Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Buie was born January 27, 1931 in Davidson County to John Henderson Byerly and Mae Cope Byerly. She was a homemaker and a member of Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and loving sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elwood Buie, Sr; and a son, James Elwood Buie, Jr. She is survived by her sons: Tom Buie and wife, Farris of Dudley; and Jonathan Buie of Goldsboro; a brother: Johnny Byerly and wife, Shirley, of Thomasville; her sisters: Sandra Wampler, and Arlene Weaver of China Grove; four step-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Arlene Weaver, Weaver Rd, China Grove.
