Annie Elizabeth Barnes,90, of Gil-Mac Drive, died Sunday at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain David Kolb officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Annie was born in Davidson County on September 21, 1923 to the late Gilmer Lawrence Barnes and Mackie Lucille Meacham Barnes. She was a retired employee of Henry Link Furniture. She was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Barnes and Edwin Barnes, sisters, Edna Bingham and Norine Walser. Surviving are, sister, Angeline Walser of Linwood; caregivers, James “Butch” and Elsie Barnes of Lexington; several nieces and nephews.
