Ann Jean Drobins Mitten, of N. Miners Trail, died Saturday at her residence. She was 86 A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10:45 A.M in the Chapel of Lorraine Cemetery in Woodlawn, Maryland, with Rev. Carl Cummings officiating. Ann was born in Northumberland County, PA on October 26, 1921, to the late Joseph Drobins and Nellie Kazmerczak Drobins. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Lexington and a former member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Bel Air, Maryland for twenty years. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Francis Joseph Mitten and a brother, Theodore Drobins. Ann is survived by her daughter, Donna Mitten Long and her husband Kevin, of the home, a son, Paul Francis Mitten of Baltimore, Maryland, a sister, Jean Knopski of Aurora, Colorado, a brother, Joseph Drobins of Willow Grove, PA. Also surviving are two grandsons, Joseph and Nicholas Purpora. Memorials in Ann’s memory may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Rowan County, 512 Klumac Road, Suite 3, Salisbury, NC 28144
