Angeline Walser

August 22, 1925 — February 8, 2018

Angeline Carolyn Barnes Walser,92, of Highway 150 South, died Thursday at Greyson Creek Assisted Living.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Tyro United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Mrs. Walser was born in Davidson County on August 22, 1925 to the late Gilmer Lawrence  Barnes and Mackie Lucille Meachum Barnes. She was a retired employee of Duracell Battery and after she retired she worked at Aunt Kaye’s Day Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Oscar Walser, Jr., and daughters, Carolyn Weaver and Betty Paige.Also preceding her in death were her brothers and sisters.  Surviving are son, Doug Walser of Churchland; daughters, Georgia Ballew and Jan Bryan (Doug) of Lexington; grandchildren, Chris and Eric Weaver, Wanda Worley, Tammy Adams, Jamey Ballew, Melissa Danielson, Doug Walser, and Steven and Tyler Michael; 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sons-in-law Johnny Paige and Don Weaver.  Memorials may be to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 S. NC Hwy. 150, Lexington, NC, 2729
