Amalia Ottilie Lerbakken Berrier, 94, a resident of Herinhut Road, Winston-Salem, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Funeral Services will be conducted 10 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from the Graveside in Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Mr. David Prickett officiating. She was born July 24, 1912 in Wilkin County, MN, to the late Severin and Olava Linner Lerbakken. She was a retired employee of Hunter Publishing in Winston-Salem, and was a Jehovah’s Witness. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Vernie Franklin Berrier, two daughters, Joyce Humphries and Irene McKay. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mable Vicha and Anna Bragg of Williston, ND; Selma Hanson of Rothsay, MN; and Clara Kjona, six brothers, Otto, Peder, and Lawrence Lerbakken of Corinth, ND; Joseph Lerbakken of Alamo, ND; Amund and Andor Lerbakken of ND. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Williamson and her husband, Harry of the home; three sons, Vernie Berrier and his wife, Doris and Al Berrier and his wife, Paula all of Winston-Salem; David Berrier of the home; two sisters, Alma Nyggard of Grenora, ND and Clarice Sundsrud of Minnesota. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A brief service will be held at 6 PM Monday, May 14, 2007 at Piedmont Funeral Home, the family will see friends following the service until 8:00 PM and other times will be at their respective homes.
