Alma Jarratt Grubb

Alma Jarratt Grubb,90, of Old Salisbury Road, passed away Monday October 15, 2018 at Brookstone Retirement Center.  A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Friday October 19, 2018 at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Brian Alexander and the Rev. Lamar Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home.  Alma was born in Davidson County on October 19, 1927 to the late James Wade Jarratt and Gladys Fitzgerald Jarratt. She was a retired music teacher with the Davidson County Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Grubb, daughter, Lenora Lynn Grubb, brothers, Edward Lynn Jarratt and James Alton Jarratt. Alma was also a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.  Surviving are sons, Keith Grubb (Myla) of Lexington and Stanley Grubb (Teresa) of Deep Gap, grandchildren, Jennifer Warren (Jim), Chris Grubb (Katie) and Jessica Grubb, great-grandchildren, Emory Warren and Connor Grubb.  In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to Center Hill Baptist Church, 3759 NC Highway 8, Lexington, NC 27292
