Alice Mae Hunt

Mrs. Alice Mae Vestal Hunt, 95, formerly of Country Club Drive, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Carolina House of Lexington after declining health. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, February 15 at the Lexington City Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Jim Martin. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:00 PM Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Hunt was born March 27, 1915 in Davidson County to Dr. Willis Jasper Vestal and May Shemwell Vestal. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Her husband, I. E. “Bus” Hunt, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Hunt Halliwell of Lexington and Alice Hunt Redwine of Tucker, GA; two grandchildren, Ann M. Nix of Smoke Rise, GA and D. Ruffin Redwine, Jr. of Houston Texas; and six great grandchildren.
