Alice Elizabeth Lyons

Alice Elizabeth Shaw Lyons, age 76, a resident of St. Andrews Place, Concord, NC, formerly of Olympia Street, Lexington, died at 6:04 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at her residence. Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday in Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Robert Floyd and Rev. Steven Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Lyons was born in Fairfield County, SC on April 25, 1931 to the late Enoch Davidson and Lenora Lynn Orr Shaw. She was a retired employee of Philpott Furniture and was a member of One Way Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Chester Lyons, Sr., five brothers, and five sisters. She is survived by a son, Chester Lyons, Jr. of Lexington, two daughters, Alice Snider and her husband, Lynn of the home, and Shirley Johnson and her husband, Lester of Mocksville, a grandson, Martin Ray Hussey of Lexington. Also surviving are eight other grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home.
