Alice Mae Hege

Alice Mae Hege Yarbrough, 88, of Swing Dairy Road, died Saturday, January 26 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Mark Blair. There will be no public visitation. Mrs. Yarbrough was born March 7, 1924 in Davidson County to Stamey Otha Hege and Sada Mae Hinkle Hege. She retired as a bookkeeper at First Union and was a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. Her husband, George Avery Yarbrough, preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Otha Hege, and her sisters, Mary Frances Harwell, Mildred Ann Hege, and Louise Hege. She is survived by her son, Michael Steven Yarbrough and wife, Sandra, of Lexington; her daughter, Linda Snyder and husband, Wayne, of Mooresville; her grandchildren, Michael Trent Yarbrough, Hope Snyder, and Haley Szymonski; her great granddaughter, Emma Marie Szymonski, and her nieces, Linda Lookabill and husband, Bill, of Lexington and Sherrill King and husband, Carl, of Chesney, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Welcome Building Fund, PO Box 269, Welcome NC 27374.
