Alice B. Greene

Alice B. Greene, age 79, passed away Saturday October 24, 2015, after a long illness with Parkinson’s disease. Alice was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, George T. Greene, Jr. Alice is survived by her daughter, Georgeanne Greene Wyrick and husband Calvin and grandchildren, Calvin, Jr. and Amanda of Stokesdale,NC. Alice grew up in Lexington and graduated from Guilford College with a criminology degree. She then served as a civil magistrate for 26 years with Guilford County before retiring. Alice was an avid piano player, reader and loved flowers. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Zack, Lee, Bruce,Oliver, and Andrew Brookshire and her sister, Vaudie Watkins. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 27, 2015 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 4600 Lake Brandt Road in Greensboro, with Pastor Arie Vaneyk officiating . A graveside service and burial will be at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Providence Presbyterian Church one hour prior to her service.
