Agnes Louise Reavis Hutchins, 88, of Lingle Farm Rd. died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be 2 pm Wednesday at the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, by Pastor Harold Harper. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hutchins was born July 2, 1926 in Yadkin County to Giles and Pernie Comer Reavis. She retired from Dixie Furniture and was of the Baptist faith. She spent much of her early life working on the family farm. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, bird watching, cooking for family and attending church. She also enjoyed her family time, especially time spent with her grandchildren. Her husband, Roger Hutchins, preceded her in death, as well as her sons, Kenneth Hutchins and Terry Hutchins; her daughters, Violet Louise Hutchins Black, Rita Laws, and Deborah Harrison; her brothers, Jack, Tom, Kelly, Norman, Phillip (Doc), and Howell (Shorty); her sisters, Ruth and Edna; and her grandchildren, Angela Myers, Roger Lee Brent Hutchins, and T.R. Myers. She is survived by her sons, David Hutchins, Larry Hutchins (Betty), and Barry Hutchins (Angela), all of Lexington; her daughter, Linda Harris of Lexington; sister, Joan Sterling of Winston-Salem; her sister in law, Betty Reavis of Winston Salem; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren; her former daughter in law, Leisha Tripp of Lexington; a special niece, Mary Reavis; her best friend, Pauletta Hutchins; and her close roommate at Lexington Health Care, Mary Owens.
